Monitoring

Viaduct

Following the collapse and subsequent demolition of the viaduct due to corrosion problems, the construction of the three new viaducts in Galicia has begun. Monitoriza is implementing a system for monitoring the corrosion of 14 spans in both passive and active reinforcement.

The monitoring of the active reinforcement is an innovative and pioneering system worldwide, which evaluates the behaviour of the tendons continuously in real time.

Sensorization

Sensorization of a stadium

The stadium will have a corrosion sensor system from which periodic measurements will be obtained that will provide information on its state and evolution to carry out predictive maintenance that will help to increase the sustainability and useful life of the stadium.

This maintenance will reduce the reaction time and cost of future protection or repair actions.

Monitoring

Monitoring of the Canal de Isabel II tank

The monitoring of water cycle infrastructures is essential for predictive maintenance and to increase the useful life of these assets. This project studies the degree of corrosion and wear of the structure in real time.

Knowing the evolution and the level of affectation helps to draw up tailor-made conservation plans, while prioritising corrective interventions to make them more efficient.

Sensorization and Monitoring

Repair tracking

After 15 years of exposure to chlorides in the cooling towers of a combined cycle plant, these prefabricated beams with active reinforcement have been repaired using a corrosion inhibitor patching system and sacrificial anode PC patching.

The monitoring system is being used to track the corrosion behaviour of both repair systems, assessing their performance over time and their need for maintenance.

Sensorization and Monitoring

Monitoring of repaired parking

Following the repair of an underground car park with problems of leaks and corrosion due to carbonation, a monitoring system with more than 24 sensors was installed on its two floors, tracking the corrosion of different elements of the structure, pillars, beams and slabs.

With this system, corrosion in the structure will be evaluated to make predictive maintenance more efficient in order to save maintenance costs in the long term.

Building monitoring on land reclaimed from the sea

The monitoring of newly built structures is used to monitor strategically important assets. In this case the structure has been erected on land reclaimed from the sea, therefore the foundation slab and perimeter walls are in contact with seawater indirectly through the ground.

The system implemented consists of more than 18 sensors embedded in the structure, whose main objective is to warn of the onset of corrosion, in order to achieve cost savings in long-term maintenance.
